My questions about the developing brain are informed by tutoring teenagers in secondary school as part of the Brilliant Club, an organisation aimed to widen access to top universities for outstanding pupils from non-selective state schools.

Over the summer, as part of in2scienceuk, I mentor secondary students from low income backgrounds in the lab to give them a feel for working as a neuroscientist, to help inform their decision and choices about STEM careers and university.  You can read Kaella’s  and Alliah’s experiences
